The emblem of the Russian period

 

 

The emblem of the Russian period was confirmed on the 6th of April 1845. In the upper part of a per fess shield there was State Russian Emblem in an or field. In the lower per pale part in the first field there was St.Great Martyr and Victorious George, in the second part there were or sickle and an or cuirass in argent field.

B.Kene project

 

 

B.Kene worked out a project of a new emblem of the town - in an azure field there was St.George killing a vert dragon. In the canton the emblem of Khersons'ka province. The shield was crowned with an argent mauerkrone with three embattlements and within two or spikes entwined with the ribbon of the Order of St.Alexander. The emblem was not approved.

The modern emblem

 

 

It was confirmed at 2000. In an azure shiels are three argent muskets in a fess and two argent dancetty (in three breaks) barrulets. The authors are V.Kryvenko and K.Shlahovyi.

Svitlovods'k conducts the history from Kryliv's ancient city which has received the Magdebourg right in ХVII century. Historical sources testify, that the old arms of city of Kryliv represented images of three carbines. By the privilege of Stanislav-August king from March, 30, 1792, Kryliv city rights proved to be true, and as variant of the arms where three are fusils. As from XVII century beginning fusils did not exist, in city arm were submitted the muskets, as more corresponding by times of the first arms of Kryliv. The barrulets display the artificial sea near the city. The emblem adorned by decorative cartouche, crowned by argent mauerkrone with three towers.

The gonfalon

 

 

It was confirmed at 2000. Dark blue square panel with two white dancetty (in three breaks) horizontal strips in width in 1/9 sides as of a flag; the distance between breaks makes 1/4 sides as of a flag.
