Kanizh

Was founded in the middle of XVIIIth century as a Cossack settlement Try Bayracky. The modern place-name received after the Hungarian town Nad'kanezh, because in Try Bayracky in XIXth century there was the hussar regiment from New Serbia, and basically Hungarian migrants served there.

The modern emblem

 

 

The modern coat of arms was approved at February, 28th, 1997. In a sable field on a vert mountain there is a silver mill. In a gules head, separated by a wavy vert girdle, there are three vert branches. The author is A.Avdeev.
