Tarashcha

It was founded by a colonel Blindavsky. King August II presented those lands to the colonel as a reward for courage in the war with the Swedes in 1709.

In 1772 king August II granted the Magdeburg Right.

The 1st emblem of the Russian period

 

 

The emblem of the Russian period was confirmed on the 26th of December 1852. A shield was per fess with azure and argent. Kyivs'ka emblem was in the upper part and a sitting sable eagle with spread wings was in the lower part. The shield is crowned with an argent mauerkrone with five embattlements.

The 2nd emblem of the Russian period

 

 

B.Kene worked out a project of a new emblem of the town - sejant sable eagle in an argent field. The emblem of Kyivs'ka province was in the canton. The shield is crowned with an argent mauerkrone with three embattlements and within two or spikes entwined with the ribbon of the Order of St.Alexander. It was confirmed on the 1st of January 1874.

The soviet emblem

 

 

It was confirmed at March, 3d, 1988 by the decision N27 of city council. The shield per fess by gules and azure. In the first part are crossed or rifle and a sabre accompanied by the sickle and hammer. In the center is the argent book, half sable gear, a or ear and or corn in the vert leaf. The argent chief is charged by the sable city name. The author is V.Akimov.
