The modern emblem

On the 30th of August 1994 town council session confirmed a modern emblem - in an argent field there is a woman in a white dress and a brown plakhta (a kind of dress) holding a sheaf. In the gules chief of the shield there is an argent courant horse to the sinister side.

The woman is a symbol of Daria Mykolaivna Lopukhina who has done a lot for the development of the town. The argent color is a symbol of cleanliness and the good. To denote the administrative subordination of the town the old emblem of Cherkasy is represented. The author is O.Tolkushyn.
