Tokmak

It was found in second half of XVIII century. The old name (until 1861) was Big Tokmak.

It was confirmed at March, 3d, 1983 by the decision of city council IV session.

Shield per pale by gules and azure. In the shield is the face image od sable gear, or crankshaft with a rod and the argent piston, above it is a gules rose with vert leaves. In the or chief are two or swords and a helmet. Under it is the gules city name in a the dark-claret belt.

The arms symbolizes development of mechanical engineering and prosperity of city. The author is A.Ivanov.
